As the leaves begin to switch colors, and weather starts to get a little colder day-by-day that means that University of Wisconsin-Stout is back in full swing once again. Sports are fully getting into their seasons now, and even though the weather has been chilly the women’s volleyball team has been on fire.

The women’s volleyball team is undefeated winning eight straight games. Winning all but one match with a score of 3-0. “This year has been a little different,” said senior Summer Garr. “We found that we play a lot better when we’re loose and having a lot more fun.” Garr feels that it is one of the keys to the team’s recent success, even when one isn’t on the court everyone is still cheering each other on and rallying off of one another. “Every girl has their own cheer when they get an ace or a kill,” said Garr, so there is a lot of fun happening on the court.

The team also worked very hard this offseason as well. One thing Garr said what the team worked on was accountability this offseason, having three different workouts per week “we would send each other selfies at the gym to hold each other accountable,” said Garr.

The team has been working hard all off season and all that hard work off the court is translating to an incredible start to the season on the court.
