Jacqueline Bonneville has been a part of University of Wisconsin-Stout’s school system for about seven years now.

“We moved to Menomonie in 2000 due to my partner’s job.” Bonneville said, who is now the Associate Dean of Students.

She started her career at Stout in the Advisement Center, coordinating the new student orientation program from 2000 to 2003, according to Bonneville. “I returned to UW-Stout in 2017 as an Assistant Director of University Housing. In 2020 I served as interim Director of University Housing,” she said.

Prior to moving to Menomonie, Bonneville grew up in St. Croix Falls, WI. She has also lived in Duluth, MN; Brookings, SD and Whitewater, WI.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, a Master of Science (Counseling) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a degree as an Education Specialist (Education) from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

“I worked as Assistant Dean of Students at UW-Eau Claire for seven years, and serving as Stout’s interim Associate Dean of Students this past year confirmed this is the work I do best.” Bonneville said.

“I have worked in the areas of housing, advising, counseling, orientation, first-year programming, housing and conduct over a 27-year period. Working in the Dean of Students office allows me to draw on all of those experiences to best serve our students, faculty, staff and families.”

Most of her time on campus is spent working directly with students, faculty, staff and families during difficult times, she says. One of the things she cherishes the most is  having the ability to “assist with making a path forward even amidst the challenges” in students’ lives.

“The work is hard but often incredibly rewarding. I’m thankful I still have so much student contact and that I hope I’m a comfort for students and families during difficult times.” Bonneville said.

Outside of being Stout’s Associate Dean of Students, Bonneville says she has a very busy schedule. “When not at work, I am often found at my son’s soccer games or tennis matches or my daughter’s trumpet performances. I spent many years involved in the Menomonie Band Boosters and Menomonie Area Soccer Association.”

Currently,  Bonneville volunteers at Thursday’s Table in town, in addition to the Luther College Parent and Family Council.
