Student-Athlete Spotlight: Adam Kresl

This issue’s Student-Athlete Spotlight is Adam Kresl a senior on the University of Wisconsin-Stout Hockey Team. Kresl is a construction major and is from Eagle River, Wisconsin.

Why did you choose Stout?

I chose Wisconsin’s premier polytechnic university for the construction major, the chance to play ice hockey, the opportunity to be close to my hometown and the great outdoor opportunities around Western Wisconsin.

Outside of school and athletics, what are some other things you like to do?

I enjoy hunting, fishing, cribbage, skiing, and having some cold ones with the boys.

What are a few interesting facts about yourself?

I’ve commercially fished for salmon on the Bering Sea, I plan on getting my private pilot’s license in the near future. I’ve got the fastest bicycle on campus, I can play the harmonica when I can find it and I’m an above-average “Mario Kart” player.

Who is your favorite pro-athlete and why?

Joe Pavelski, he plays the game the right way, he is a Wisconsin guy and a great leader on and off the ice.

What is your plan after college?

My plans are to move to Alaska and work in the construction industry.

If you had to pick another sport to play, what would it be and why?

Baseball, nice weather, great game and fun with the boys

What’s your favorite place on campus?

Kwik Trip, if that doesn’t count then the ice arena.

Favorite Food of All Time?

Smoked Salmon

If you had a million dollars what are the top three things you spend it on?

A Super Cub airplane, a new truck and a house in the mountains.
