Student-Athlete Spotlight: Hunter Anderson

Evan Thue

This week’s Student-Athlete Spotlight is Hunter Anderson. A senior on the UW-Stout Hockey Team, Hunter is a supply chain management major and is from Savage, Minnesota.

Why did you choose Stout?

Stout offered an opportunity for me to continue to play hockey and also earned a supply chain management degree. My dad attended Stout and my grandpa also worked for the university as well.

Outside of school and athletics, what are some other things you like to do?

Cheer on the Green Bay Packers, watch football, play video games, and golf.

What are a few interesting facts about yourself?

Can complete the Rubik’s cube.

Who is your favorite pro-athlete and Why?

Aaron Rodgers-shows great leadership, super talented,  can make any throw on the field and is on my favorite team.

What is your plan after college?

Pushed a career in the supply chain field.

If you had to pick another sport to play, what would it be and why?

Football. Loved playing it in high school.

What’s your favorite place on campus?

Jarvis Hall Supplychain Design Lab

Favorite Food of All Time?

Chipotle

If you had million dollars what are the top three things you spend it on?

Season tickets for the packers, a puppy (French bulldog), and a new car.

What’s your favorite song right now?

It’s A Vibe- 2 Chainz

If you could pick any other position to play, what would it be?

I wouldn’t change positions. Forward is the most fun, playing goalie would be a little scary getting hit with pucks all the time and playing defense you have to skate backwards a lot.
