As the beautiful fall weather starts to creep in, and the colored leaves begin to scatter the ground you may find you are looking for a cozy coffee shop to warm the day! No worries, I am here to report some of my personal favorite coffee shops in the Menomonie area.
First let’s make a stop at our local Acoustic Cafe. Looking for a sweet drink and maybe some brunch with friends? Step on into Acoustic Cafe. Here at Acoustic, the chattering atmosphere will get you in the right mindset to study, work on group projects, or even catch up with friends! They have delicious sandwich options and some unique Italian soda flavors! Wanting to find a place that feels comfy and help you get some work done? Acoustic cafe is your first stop!
Next let’s travel up the road to Raw Deal! This vintage coffee shop with an indoor loft and ground level offers you a customizable coffee experience. Want to sit in a comfy couch? Maybe wooden chairs are more your style! Either way Raw Deal has it all. Their high-tiled ceiling and vintage furniture gives the creeky wooden floor a unique and calm atmosphere. According to the Raw Deal website, they believe in “integrating wholesome, authentic ingredients by using fairtrade organic beans & serving organic, vegan, & raw food options. We believe our food should be ethical, delicious, & support local.” Raw Deal has something for everyone so stop on in and enjoy the perfect treat this autumn!
Looking for more of a vintage coffeehouse? A peaceful place to study or sit by the fire? The Blind Munchies Coffeehouse is your go to. The Blind Munchies Instagram states that they are a “nonprofit coffeehouse run by volunteer staff with proceeds going to global & local missions.” With vintage signage, tucked away seats, and the best pastries in the area, Blind Munchies is the place for you! With drinks ranging from Indian chai to iced lattes, to Red Bull Italian sodas, Blind Munchies has something for everyone! Check out their connections with Street Level Ministries and Street Level Radio and receive student discounts on drinks during some of their weekly events!
Lastly let’s take a trip up to Scatterbrain Cafe! All this travel has made me hungry; thank goodness Scatter Brain has a delicious menu to authentically prepare you the best brunch in the area! Seasonal drinks and meals keep you feeling right at home while in Menomonie! According to Scatterbrain’s website, they offer “USDA organic coffee, scratch bakery & café items” for you to try! In this restaurant style space, you will find the perfect area to catch up with a friend or find some time off campus!
