On the corner of Broadway and Main, Acoustic Cafe is a favorite among locals for a variety of comfort foods, like coffee, sandwiches, and soup. They have locations in both Menomonie and Eau Claire and were established over twenty years ago, in 1994. Since then, they have been serving people all over Western Wisconsin. They pride themselves on being deeply rooted in the community, from serving locally made beers, like Farmer’s Daughter, Surly, and Sprecher’s root beer, to supporting local artists through music, events, and beautiful paintings for sale displayed throughout the store.
Inside, you can see UW-Stout students and Menomonie residents enjoying fresh, homemade food in the store, which is filled with colorful signs, and vintage decorations. The interior is lined with aesthetically potted greenery. With lots of chairs, booths, and even a stage, Acoustic Cafe is the perfect spot for anything from an early morning study session to a night out with friends.

Known for their freshly baked bread and secret sauce, the sandwiches at Acoustic Cafe are like no other. Enjoy your choice of meat with a variety of cheese and vegetables, they also provide delicious gluten-free options. Daily soups rotate with flavors including chili, chicken tortilla, black bean vegetable, roasted red pepper, and the Wisconsin classic — beer cheese.
However you take your coffee — hot, iced, or even with ice cream — they have it on the menu! “Java the Hut” is a unique drink to Acoustic made with ice cream, iced coffee, milk, and topped with whipped cream. For tea fans, they have over fifteen loose-leaf varieties, locally made chai, and Arnie Palmers.
Small businesses are one of the things that makes the Menomonie community so great. Next time you want to treat yourself to a tasty meal, take a trip to Acoustic Cafe!
