Sam Kilgard-
Skeletons, ghouls and goblins, oh my! These are just some of the costumes you may see at this year’s Graveyard Gala. The University of Wisconsin–Stout Swing club is hosting a Halloween dance in the Memorial Student Center Ballrooms.
The Graveyard Gala will have an assortment of costumes and fun music for the night. All ghouls are welcome to this dance, as it will offer many funky ghosts and other creatures to dance with.
Meghan Olsen, a senior studying early childhood development, is a member of the Swing Club. She says her favorite part about the Graveyard Gala is that “It gives me the opportunity to try out some new dance moves and to free dance.”

With an average attendance of 50 people, the gala gives Halloween and dance lovers the opportunity to come together, let loose and do what they love most—dance.
The gala will have various dance opportunities. “There will be swing dancing, some group dance, line dancing and free dancing as well,” says Olsen. The gala will be an event filled with students dancing until their feet fall off. Well, at least the students dressed as zombies.
The Graveyard Gala will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event is free for all who attend. Please dress in appropriate costumes.
