Are you in need of a way to warm up during the colder days or enjoy drinking hot chocolate all year round? The Qube found in Price Commons hosts Hot Chocolate Wednesdays during the colder months of the year. Don’t miss out, there are currently still two more planned on April 10 and April 17. Hot chocolate can also be found in the Blue Devil Market in the Memorial Student Center and the dining hall in Price Commons. In case you missed the Hot Chocolate Wednesdays or would rather enjoy your own homemade hot chocolate in your dorm room, there is a recipe for hot chocolate listed below from Purely Katie, How To Make The Easiest And Best Hot Chocolate Recipe.

  • 2 ounces chopped semisweet chocolate or ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 ½ cups + ½ cup milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Steps to make it-

  1. In a small pot or in a microwave-safe dish heat up the chocolate, sugar, and milk on medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
  2. Stir in 3 ½ cups milk, salt, and cinnamon. Heat through but do not boil. Remove from heat and enjoy!
A couple of Land O Lakes hot chocolate flavors

If you prefer store bought hot chocolate I would recommend Swiss Miss, Land O Lakes, or Stephen’s.
