The University of Wisconsin-Stout’s hockey team has had a challenging start to the season. After losing two close games, the team is hoping the youthfulness of the team will help them improve. Connor Chambers said, “We have a young team, and I think we will continue to get more experience.” This is because he’s seen how well the team gets along with each other. Alec Skar said, “We have a really good group of guys and we all enjoy being around each other on and off the ice.”

When asked about the team’s goals as the season progresses, Chambers said, “Our main focus is to win the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and hopefully get a birth to the national tournament.” Fellow teammate Skar echoed this sentiment, saying “We have all the things we need to be successful and we are excited to see how far we can take it.” Chambers has also set a personal goal. Chamber’s said, “…liking to be a good leader and contribute to the team however I can. I think if our team does well, the individual successes will come also.”
