Hello world!

We are UW-Stout’s student newspaper, and we write about anything that connects to Stout students. This includes topics like campus events, new movies, small businesses, and campus organizations.

Stoutonia has been around for over 100 years, but in the past few years, the club has had fewer members and published less articles. However, this academic year (2024-25), we are working on bringing Stoutonia back up. We started the year off with just two members and now we have seven, in total.

Some of our goals for the semester are to keep our TikTok up and going, as well as our podcast. We are super excited for the future of Stoutonia.

But who is in Stoutonia? Stoutonia includes Taylor, the Editor in Chief / President, Catherine, the Production Manager, Paul, the Chief Copy Editor, Nicholas, the Advertising Manager, and our current writers are Ella and Jennifer! Paul and Taylor have been members of Stoutonia since last semester, and the work they have put in to keep Stoutonia active is paying off.

If you’re interested in joining, we are still in need of some writers to join our team. Writers are required to put in 1.5 hours of work every week, or three hours every other week. This means that one article is required every other week to represent your three hours of work.

We look forward to serving UW-Stout with some great news this semester and hosting some really cool events to look forward to!
