The UW-Stout women’s lacrosse team continued its perfect start to the season, securing a decisive 15-4 victory over Mount Mercy on Tuesday at Nelson Field.
Stout (5-0) showcased its offensive depth with 10 different players finding the back of the net, including four who notched their first goals of the season. Madelyn Reed, Madeline Candline, Tatum Kluender, and Brianna Brenteson all recorded their first scores, contributing to the Blue Devils’ well-balanced attack.
Mai Nou Vang and Riley Schulte led the scoring effort with three goals apiece, while Briana Brenteson added a pair. Vang also facilitated the offense, tallying a game-high four assists.
The Blue Devils took control in the second quarter, outscoring the Mustangs 7-1 to build a commanding 9-2 halftime lead. Stout’s defense was equally impressive, limiting Mount Mercy (0-5) to just 12 shots on goal while forcing 28 turnovers.
Goalkeeper Emilia Bullock made eight saves to preserve the victory, as Stout continued its undefeated start to the 2025 campaign.
