In a back-and-forth battle at Nelson Field, the UW-Stout women’s lacrosse team secured a dramatic 13-12 victory over Beloit College, improving to 2-0 on the season.

Senior Mai Nou Vang delivered a dominant performance, scoring a game-high seven goals, including the game-winner in the final minute. Megan Palmer added three goals, while Riley Schulte and Lilly Thomas also contributed to the scoring effort.
The Blue Devils started strong, leading 4-1 after the first quarter. However, Beloit responded with a six-goal second quarter, briefly taking the lead before Stout regained control before halftime. The second half saw both teams trading goals, with Johanna McNair leading Beloit with six goals.
With the game tied 12-12 in the closing minutes, Vang capitalized on a free-position shot at the 1:01 mark to secure the victory for UW-Stout. Goalkeeper Emilia Bullock anchored the defense with 13 saves, keeping Beloit at bay down the stretch.
Defender Briana Brenteson had 10 ground balls and four caused turnovers.
The Blue Devils return to action later this week when they travel to Fond du Lac, Wis. on Saturday, March 15 to face Marian University.
